In Personal Life

I did fall into the trap of "offering" to help my friend move. Usually the things I excel in are 1. Avoiding Weddings, 2. Avoiding Family Gatherings, 3. Avoiding Helping with moving and house stuff! In all fairness it was a good friend... So off I trotted saturday morning to pick up a hire van... then spent the weekend being White Van Man - which I had to admit was fun... Get out the f*cking way you stupid b*tch... like my normal driving but just on steroids as im now in a huge van so people wont argue with me :) OK I had to push myself a fair bit to not lose my temper with my friend who can only be described as a girl when it comes to physical labour... but I wont hold that against him! He's nice the rest of the time! After a huge two days of moving I thought about taking the time to actually deal with why my feet are always bloody hurting... this involved taking the GP's advice and with a corn knife scraping of the hard layers of skin... unfortunately the plantation wart (or verucca - im not sure which) I accidentally took off a little bit too much.... which considering the hot weather cause a major issue... blood would not stop pouring out... after going through *lots* of plasters and about an hour of faffing I managed to stem the flow of blood.... unfortunately the ensuing state of the flat was one that can only be seen in a horror movie.... I probably only lost about 100ml of blood ish... but it was everywhere! It took another two hours to clean up! Thats the last time I listen to the damn stupid GP... I asked her for a referal to a specialist and was told to go buy a knife and acid to burn it off... so why on earth do I have medical cover? Anyway... On a lighter note, I have been trying to work out what additional education I want to do.... now last time I tried this I walked into Hert uni and wondered around for a while insulting the new undergrads by asking why on earth they would be looking to do an undergrad degree.... turns out the postgrad fair was the week after and I had my dates wrong.... oh well! Next time I will try and be a bit nicer! Im not overly sure what I want to do... but considering today I have spent the day "working from home".... well ok lets be honest I did a few conference calls... researched a course or degree to do... read a paper on energy systems and watched Ben 10.... while constantly checking email like a priest waiting for the second coming - I actually wasnt waiting for anything in particular just was hoping something important would come in! Its very nice to chill out in Cafe Nero on a Monday afternoon while its boiling, no wait raining, no boiling again... outside, I could be in the office in Slough, but its nicer here - and less people to annoy me! Anyway.. I need to go and setup a website for raising money for charity when I do great north run!
