Get a Grip!
Posted on 27 June 2011
Yay! For once I can say.... actually things whilst they are not going "amazingly" well they are not exactly going bad....
1 - The new job is full of arse holes and wankers... and yes I still refer to it as "Evil Industries" although not on facebook anymore in case anyone from work pops onto my account and sees it! But I change projects in a few weeks, and the new project I am being lined up for looks interesting. Its currently a choice between Theale (near Reading), Reading (near Reading) and Chicago (not near Reading!).
2 - I am getting out and about more.... last weekend went out Friday night to a leaving party, Sat night to a dirty whore club (ok a gay club), and then this week I did the Clapham street festival with James (the cute friend of mine).
3 - I have joined the LGBT at work... slightly strange question I got back when I joined "do you want to be a secret memeber?" - are we still in the dark ages? Is the company I work for in the dark ages? Very funny question... but the thing that sealed the deal is when I discovered Microsoft are paying for a night out for us on Wednesday.... any excuse to take some of Bills money of him sounds like a great plan to me!
4 - No really.... I have decided to learn the trumpet.... and managed in my first lesson to be able to play a scale.... ok maybe very badly but who gives a fuck... im doing it for fun not to start a new career (thats point 5).
5 - Im going to go do another degree... cause im bored of IT... and the thought process I have at the moment is... do a degree in Law... this will occupy me for a year... then next year I can apply to be a policeman... (senior of course) and retire at the ripe age of 31 to a life of doing bugger all and earning a shitty wage but not really needing to do much... as is the case with most of the police. - Hey working for evil industries has given me an insight into what its like to work for a company where you are utterly hated by everyone... "like a copper" haha!
6 - I have killed all ties with knob heads... (well other than guy with gf, but we dont talk much if at all...) I physically removed all references to people like "Policeman"... deleted his number and every text... such that when he did send me a "how are you" text I didnt have a scooby who it was! Think he has now got the message I want him to take a long walk off a short pier!
So the aims for the next few weeks:
1 - Move house... living "outside" London means its a ball ache to get "into" London... but this means I will have to yet again downsize... the closer you get to SE1 the smaller your house gets... such that by the time anyone lives in SE1 they usually live in a cupboard that costs £7k a week and share it with a family of drunken dwarfs from Albania who are in social housing.
2 - Organise a trip to a theme park... I am a theme park freak... I love scaring my self to death and completely losing control (the Adrenaline rush!) - hmmm maybe this explains some other things in my life?
3 - Bring more of my family online with the power of the web cam! Following the roaring success of the webcam experiment with my mum and dad, I have now decided to deploy operation "Webcam the unwashed" to the rest of my family such that I havent got to drive home for two hours. Which not only saves the planet but means I can get rid of my car, and have £400 a month more money to spend on picnics in the park and trumpets.
So with this new lease of life I am a happy bunny.... the job is semi ok ish kinda maybe in a preculiar possible way. I am still the dogs bollocks, and learning more new things day by day. I am openly gay at work, I have great friends - although not many of them... this is a flagged development area in my new "thesis on life". So on that note I am pleased to say that I have started to get a grip on my life and feel much more in control than I possibly have done in the past.
Now back to evil towers to go develop a plan on how to take over the world......
